Last month Jackson had surgery to fix his hypospadius. He was such a trooper! He made friends with everyone that walked by and had a great recovery.

Jackson started saying Dada and Hi Da on Sunday afternoon! Yesterday morning I said "ok buddy, new word...mama." and he looked at me and said "dada!" HAHA, it was hilarious!

You know he's really sick when he actually wants to cuddle. Mister wiggles never wants to sit in my lap, not even to read a book!
poor little guy was so lethargic yesterday morning.

I have pictures from Jackson's dedication and Easter to post but it's been a crazy couple of weeks so those will have to wait. The poor buddy has been super sick all week. He just has some sort of stomach virus but we're halfway through week two of this bug and it's not going away. But it's a virus so there is nothing we can do but wait it out. I thought yesterday he was finally getting better and even this morning started out well but he ended up only eating/drinking this morning and that was it. Thankfully he drank a lot yesterday to help rehydrate himself because he was really close to needing IV fluids. If you think of him, please say a little prayer that he feels better soon and starts taking in fluids again.

Our Latest Projects

Here is a picture of the desk that we refinished for a friend. Sadly, we have no room for this desk anymore so we are giving it away to a good friend.

This week we bought a new dining room table and chairs off of craigslist to replace our old set that was falling apart! Clay and I (mostly Clay) are spending the weekend refinishing this set and our excited to have a new look in the house.

The spindles on these chairs were seriously chewed up by the previous owners dog, so they are being replaced.
Table base, it has been sanded so it's hard to see the color, but it's a pretty ugly yellow. Not for long!!
Clay also re-did his projector screen and built a frame for it! The picture looks amazing (even I can see a difference)!

Clay's Ski Trip

On Tuesday, Clay, Brennan and Bronson went to Mt. Baldy for a day of skiing. Sometime during the afternoon I got a phone call from Clay telling me to check my email. So I checked my email and this was the picture I received. On his second run of the day, he ended up taking a pretty bad tumble down the mountain where he took the impact of the fall with his face. Thank goodness he was wearing a helmet!!

After a mild concussion and a beat up face, a few days later he is doing fine. Sure knows how to scare the bejeebees out of me!!

Whenever Jackson doesn't want to eat something, he bends over so I can't reach his mouth. Goofy boy.

A Little Background

Clay and Lisa were married on December 29th, 2007.

"On this day I will marry my friend, the one I live for, laugh with and love."

Last September, on a sunny Tuesday morning, we welcomed Jackson Clay into our family.

Jackson weighed in at 8lbs 9oz and 21in.

He is such a sweet baby!

Clay is currently involved in two different businesses, the first is Chaffee Finishing. This is where he does all of the cabinet and furniture finishing and refinishing. The second is CnP Systems, the computer repair company. He is currently quite busy with both businesses!

Lisa is a stay at home wife and mama but also teaches piano lessons. She is currently enjoying her role as a mom as she watches Jackson grow each day.

We decided to create a blog about our family as we go through this crazy adventure called life.
